Hi and welcome to episode 259 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
To begin the week, NetSuite announced the availability of NetSuite QuickStart, a free AI-first financial platform built for early-stage technology startups. QuickStart enables founders to establish a strong financial foundation within minutes. Embedded AI and teams of AI agents help founders build their business by automating accounting, banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and subscription management and by proactively surfacing key insights like software industry metric. Built to grow with startups, QuickStart works with the AI tools founders already use and provides a natural path to NetSuite as their businesses scale. This is a strong new offering from NetSuite who will be able to cater to the unique needs of startups that expect to experience hypergrowth but need a long-term solution.
In other news, Workday announced its Trusted Agent Platform is now headless, enabling customers to build, run, and govern lawful AI agents across HR and finance with the development tools and models they choose. Every agent, whether it’s built by Workday, a customer, or partner, works under the same Workday permissions, approvals, and audit trails. With Agent-Ready Tools and Live Data Query, every request carries Workday's rules with it, including who is asking, what they can see and do, which approvals apply, and how the action is recorded. Workday and other major vendors are leaning into the headless ERP experience, changing the way we interact with enterprise solutions, creating a customizable experience across businesses, departments, and users.
Finally, IFS launched IFS Intelligence, a new product that collates data from across your industrial operation, from assets, systems, processes, and turns it into meaningful action in minutes – creating value through new revenue streams and impactful operational efficiencies. IFS Intelligence performs work directly in the systems that run physical operations. Built around everything the operation already knows – its assets, work orders, schedules and history – it understands how that operation runs, working from live data across IFS and third-party systems, and acting only within the rules the business sets. IFS can offer very deep industry expertise to its customers, with a continued focus on asset-intensive industries and use cases.
