Hi and welcome to episode 257 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

It was a significant week in product releases with announcements coming from Acumatica and Infor.

First, Acumatica announced the general availability of 2026 R2, the latest release of its cloud ERP platform for mid-market businesses. The update features embedded AI, modern analytics, streamlined user experience, and industry-specific enhancements designed to help organizations improve productivity, make faster decisions, and scale more efficiently. The release is fueled by Acumatica’s Native Data Warehouse and Model Context Protocol Connection. For more information on this release, keep an eye out for our EAG’s review at erpadvisorsgroup.com.

Then, Infor unveiled its Infor Industry AI architecture and the next evolution of Infor Velocity Suite, which includes personalized adaptive user experiences, new governance models across customers’ entire enterprise, and more Industry AI agents. Infor Industry AI is organized around four platform pillars: Precise Outcomes, an expanded suite of Industry AI agents with true micro-vertical AI expertise grounded in deep industry logic, Open & Connected, an interoperable architecture that extends across the customer’s full ecosystem, not just Infor, Easy to Use, adaptive UX included a personalized, AI-assembled experience that meets people in the tools they already work in, and Governed, enhanced Infor Governance, Risk, & Compliance capabilities bolster enterprise-grade security, governance, and auditability from the ground up.

Both releases support customers in AI adoption and achieving new heights alongside their existing ERP vendors.

In other news, three important acquisitions were announced this week by SAP, Sage, and Unit4.

First, SAP and TechWolf announced they have entered into an agreement for SAP to acquire TechWolf, provider of a leading AI work intelligence platform. TechWolf gives enterprises a continuously updated view of the work their people do and the skills they have, using its proprietary data model called context graph for work. The acquisition will bring this context graph, along with TechWolf’s AI models and applied AI research team, into SAP, establishing work intelligence as a strategic SAP asset.

Then, Sage announced it has acquired Paperless Environments, a long-standing Sage partner and specialist provider of technology for accounts payable automation, document workflows, and subcontractor compliance in the construction industry. The acquisition forms part of Sage’s ongoing investment in its construction offering, giving contractors greater control over the information and approvals they need to keep projects on track.

Finally, Unit4 announced it is acquiring Napta, the Paris-based resource management and skills-intelligence platform for professional and business service firms. The acquisition is aligned with Unit4’s growth strategy and its continued focus on serving key verticals, including professional and business services, public services, non-profit, and education, while increased investment in the roadmap and Unit4’s global reach will support Napta’s ambition to grow rapidly and become the trusted European leader in the resource management category.

All of these acquisitions support long-term roadmaps and vendor goals, bolstering customer value.
