Hi and welcome to episode 235 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
This was a week of financial results with SAP and IFS announcing Q1 2026 financial results.
First, SAP announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. Current cloud backlog was €21.9 (Euros) up 20% year-over-year, with total revenue at €9.56 billion, up 6% year-over-year. Of that, about €8.5 billion was in cloud and software revenue and about €1 billion was services revenue.
Then, IFS announced its financial results for the first quarter ending March 31st, 2026, reporting ARR growth of 25% year-over-year, and a strong start to 2026. Additionally, Cloud Revenue was up 24% year-over-year, with a Net Retention Rae of 114%.
Both results demonstrate strong, ongoing momentum in the enterprise software space. Demand for modern solutions continues to grow, as businesses reimagine their software strategies in order to take advantage of emerging solutions like AI.
In other news, Sage announced Sage HCM, a new human capital management solution for mid-market organizations in North America. Integrated with Sage Intacct, Sage HCM connects HR, payroll, and workforce data with financial management to give organizations clearer visibility and control over workforce costs while improving payroll accuracy and supporting better workforce planning. Launching with Sage HCM are industry capabilities, such as Sage HCM for Construction, designed to help firms connect labor, payroll, and job costing in a single system, alongside a new HCM Agent that used AI-powered automation to streamline HR and payroll workflows. Customers will now benefit from a Sage specific HCM solution that will lend itself well to customers looking to expand operations on their existing platform.
Finally, Certinia announced the launch of Veda: an enterprise-grade intelligent operations engine built to transform services organizations from reactive, manual workflows to autonomous professional services. As Certinia’s suite of AI specialist agents and intelligent actions, Veda delivers rules-bound, trusted, and ROI-focused autonomous workflows, combining Certinia’s decades of institutional memory with advanced AI reasoning. Veda will empower Certinia’s customers with greater productivity directly within the workflows they already use every day.
