Hi and welcome to episode 234 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Starting the week strong, ECI Software Solutions announced new AI capabilities embedded within its Deacom and JobBOSS2 ERP solutions, including AI Assistant and AI Invoicing. These new Practical AI features are designed to help manufacturers get answers faster, reduce manual work, and improve accuracy across everyday operations. AI Assistant answers system questions, helping users understand how the application works and how to improve and optimize workflows and business processes without leaving their current screen. Then, AI Invoicing automates processing and paying bills, utilizing AI to digitally capture vendor invoices and match them to purchase orders and identify discrepancies. Customers will benefit from improved processes by leveraging the power of AI to streamline the most foundational operations.

In related AI news, Salesforce announced a major expansion of Agent Fabric, delivering a trusted agent control plan for rapidly evolving multi-vendor AI landscapes. Agent Fabric now brings automated discovery, intuitive authoring, and centralized LLM governance to a business’s entire Agentic Enterprise. Updates include expanded Agent Scanners with automated discovering now covering MCP servers and new platforms, Visual Authoring Canvas delivering a new drag-and-drop interface alongside MuleSoft Vibes, MCP Bridge making existing APIs agent-ready by enabling MCP at scale, Informatica-hosted MCPs, and much more. Salesforce is accelerating enterprise-wide AI adoption with this release, making it easier for customers to govern their entire AI strategy in a centralized location.

Building on the AI news, Workday announced that Workday Recognition provided by Achievers is now available to customers. This new offering brings Achievers’ recognition and rewards solution directly into the Workday experience. It also uses AI to enable HR leaders to better understand what drives performance – giving them real-time insights to improve engagement, support employees, and retain top talent. By analyzing how employees recognize each other, the solution helps organizations identify top contributors and see which skills are making the biggest impact across their workforce. This release will elevate people and how they interact with their HR solutions, enabling greater connectivity and data collection.

Finally, Oracle plans to expand its multi-cloud networking capabilities to provide customers with enterprise-grade, high-performance connectivity between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS. By establishing connectivity between Oracle Interconnect and AWS Interconnect-multi-cloud customers will have access to a fast, private, managed connection to run applications and move data seamlessly between OCI and AWS. Greater connectivity enables improved data sharing and opportunities for exponential growth. As companies continue to rely on best-of-breed models, collaborations like this will create a more seamless experience as the world of ERP “shrinks” and customers can achieve value with a wider range of solutions.
