Hi and welcome to episode 219 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
Epicor made sure to start the new year with big news, announcing key milestones in its product innovation strategy, including the schedule of final on-premises feature releases of Epicor Kinetic, Epicor Prophet 21, and Epicor BisTrack. These releases mark the transition of future innovation for these platforms exclusively to the Epicor Cloud. This is major news for current on-premises Epicor customers now provided with a clear, future plan for the legacy solutions they rely on to run their businesses. Epicor customers can still rely on Epicor for ongoing sustaining support to keep operations going, but the announcements will enable customers to more proactively prepare for future upgrades.
Finally, OneStream made headlines announcing it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Hg, a leading investor in software, services, and data businesses. The all-cash transaction values OneStream at approximately $6.4 billion in equity value. Hg will be OneStream’s majority voting shareholder. General Atlantic, a global investor, will also be a significant minority investor alongside Tidemark, another strong technology investment firm. Private Equity continues to gain stronger holds in enterprise software, building strong portfolios around growth opportunities and delivery. We expect this investment in OneStream to take the vendor to new heights in 2026.
