Hi and welcome to episode 75 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Last week, Acumatica hosted its 2023 Summit where they highlighted their commitment to supporting ERP for SMBs, their significant growth in 2022, and their 2023 R1 release.

On Day 1, Acumatica announced an update to its Customer Bill of Rights, expanding on core principles to reflect the current business environment and the evolving organizational needs of today’s companies. Acumatica states that the Bill of Rights includes practices customers deserve and should expect from their software partner, including clear fee structures, a comprehensive security model, free training, and more. Acumatica also discussed its significant growth in 2022, such as surpassing 10,000 customers and their revenue growth.

On Day 2, Acumatica then announced some of the enhanced features and capabilities coming in the 2023 R1 release of its cloud ERP solution, planned for general availability in April. This release will enrich the functionality of Acumatica’s Industry Editions for businesses in critical areas such as manufacturing, construction, retail-commerce, and distribution. New features will include special orders for distribution and field services, Microsoft Teams integration, SendGrid templates for all users who sign-up, and a native payment integration.

We were happy to have attended this successful conference last week and look forward to the advancements and growth coming from Acumatica in 2023.

In other news, Oracle announced its plans to open a third public cloud region in Saudi Arabia. Located in Riyadh, the new cloud region will be part of a planned $1.5 billion investment from Oracle to expand cloud infrastructure capabilities in the Kingdom.
Their expansion of these cloud regions on a global scale, from Oracle and other vendors alike, will be key to the continuous expansion of all ERP vendors into the future.

Finally, QAD acquired Redzone, a frontline workers’ communication platform. Currently, over 1,000 plants and 300,000 frontline workers worldwide rely on Redzone’s solutions to create a better employee experience for frontline teams through digital workflows and collaboration tools. This acquisition will assist QAD in delivering greater value to its customers.

Additionally, QAD has rebranded to represent its two key areas of focus, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, with a new color scheme and company logo, continuing to support the idea that QAD is poised for strategic changes occurring in 2023. We expect big things from QAD in 2023.
