Hi and welcome to episode 33 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Epicor recently announced that is has appointed Lisa Pope as President of the company. Pope will continue to lead overall go-to-market strategy and execution for the company.

With Lisa’s and other executive transitions at Epicor, we are curious to see where the current executive team will take the company, especially given the uptake in their cloud-based ERP solutions.

Workday reported that it intends to create 1,000 new jobs over the next two years at its European headquarters in Dublin, increasing its Ireland-based workforce by approximately 60%. In addition, Workday plans to construct its new European headquarters at Grangegorman, Dublin 7.

Seeing additional employee growth with Workday is a great indicator of their desire to continue investing in their employee base, which will benefit customers that need strong resources to support their implementations and ongoing optimization of the Workday platform.

IFS announced last week that Hg, a leading software and services investor, has agreed to become a significant minority shareholder in IFS and WorkWave.

Given IFS’s growth, EQT may have seen this as an opportunity to profit from that growth and diversify their ERP holding, especially given they own Acumatica, one of the fastest growing ERPs in the industry. We will watch closely to see if IFS’s direction changes with their new ownership team.

Sage, in partnership with The BOSS Network, an online community for professional and entrepreneurial women, recently publicized the awardees of the 2022 Sage Invest in Progress grants to support black women entrepreneurs in their first five years of business.

And on the philanthropy side of ERP, we have been covering ERP vendors’ community improvement initiatives that ERP vendors have been doing and we see this as another great investment the ERP vendors can make, not just by offering their software to entrepreneurial organizations, but also cash, mentorship, and training. The significant number of applicants demonstrates the need and desire of these individuals to get help in growing their businesses.
