Hi and welcome to Episode 17 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Ashley Glasgow.

Shopify merchants broke Black Friday sales records when they hit $2.9 billion in sales, breaking down into about $2 million per minute. This is a 21% increase over last year’s Black Friday sales. The average cart price was $101.20, and 72% of sales were made on mobile devices.

Unit4 just announced Industry Mesh, a multi-tenant industry cloud service for managing integration and resources across business-critical applications. This development will help Unit4 customers integrate with other applications and industry solutions. This is a good indicator that Unit4 is building integrations that will further support the move to a metaverse for its clients.

Workday announced that they will soon acquire VNDLY, a vendor and contractor management system. As organizations evolve during and after the pandemic and are looking at employment models, Workday who focuses traditionally on standard workforces and workforce employees is now expanding into contingent workforces through this acquisition.

SAP just released a unified low-code/no-code development experience on SAP Business Technology Platform which empowers citizen and professional developers to expand their portfolios and accelerate digital transformation.
