Oracle kicked off the week, with Oracle Corporation Japan announcing that it plans to invest more than $8 billion over the next 10 years to meet the growing demand for cloud computing and AI infrastructure in Japan. Oracle will also expand its operations and support engineering teams with Japan-based personnel. This marks Oracle’s continued efforts to expand its global footprint, offering deeper support through and for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

In related international expansion news, NetSuite announced a series of new product innovations to help businesses in the UK optimize finance processes, expand insights, and increase efficiency. Updates for UK customers include new generative AI, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and e-invoicing capabilities, and the ability to combine insights from multiple NetSuite instances into a single NetSuite Analytics Warehouse environment. NetSuite is following Oracle’s lead to extend its market by finding ways to break into new locations with the UK being a logical next step in their global plan following expansion into Canada. NetSuite will be able to leverage OCI to deliver in these regions more effectively and quickly.

In enhancement news, SAP announced AI advancements in its supply chain solutions to empower users with greater productivity, efficiency, and precision in manufacturing. Key improvements to SAP’s supply chain solutions include optimizing decisions across the supply chain with AI-driven insights, streamlining product development with Joule, detecting equipment anomalies using AI, and improving field response. These enhancements will allow SAP customers to do even more with the solutions they already have in place, increasing time to value.

Finally, Certinia unveiled its Spring 2024 release features with a range of new and enhanced capabilities – including several major developments incorporating AI into its platform – to help services businesses generate more accurate forecasts, make more informed decisions, and boost productivity. The release includes real-world benefits with AI, accelerating accurate and timely estimates, optimizing resource utilization with efficient staffing decisions, and much more. These enhancements will unlock greater value for Certinia customers to increase efficiency and productivity.
