As of December 31st, 2023, Microsoft made major enhancements to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, announcing the general availability of business performance planning capabilities to equip customers with a comprehensive view of financial and operational performance. These capabilities simplify and automate planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics by integrating with familiar Microsoft Power BI and Excel environments. This is a major trend across the market, with vendors simplifying solutions to ensure they are more universally available.

To round out the year, nCino, a cloud banking solution for the global financial services industry, announced an expanded partnership with Salesforce to accelerate the delivery of these types of solutions to the market. This builds on nCino and Saleforce’s long-standing collaboration, established in 2011, to empower financial institutions with digital innovations to increase efficiency, and transparency, and reduce risks while driving customer growth and loyalty. Salesforce and other vendors continue to invest in micro-vertical solutions to deliver even deeper value to customers. We expect this trend to continue well into 2024.
