Hi and welcome to episode 117 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Oracle continues along its expansion path, announcing the opening of a second Oracle Cloud Region in Chile, making it the first hyperscaler to have two regions in the country. With the new Oracle Cloud Valparaiso Region and the existing region in Santiago, Oracle will help organizations across all industries in Chile strengthen business continuity while addressing data residency and sovereignty requirements. Oracle continues to grow its global presence, opening more and more regions to benefit customers worldwide.

Epicor followed the growth trend, announcing it has promoted Joe Ayers to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Over the past quarter, Ayers has served as interim CFO where he took a leading role defining company financial strategy, operations, and execution. This promotion demonstrates Epicor’s commitment to real business growth.

To provide even greater functionality, SAP announced it has expanded its integration with PayPal through the creation of a digital payments plug-in for the PayPal Braintree platform built on the SAP Business Technology Platform. This product integration enhances the capabilities offered to SAP customers and the value they can provide on a single platform.

In related news, Salesforce announced the general availability of Unlimited Edition+ (UE+) a simplified technology package for businesses looking to accelerate growth with AI, data, and CRM. UE+ provides organizations in every industry access to the best of Salesforce technology across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Einstein AI, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, and Industries in a single offering. This allows Salesforce to deliver more to a wider range of companies, including those who may have fewer resources for these larger-scale projects.

Certinia continues the trend, releasing new advanced AI capabilities and a wide range of enhancements to its Services-as-a-Business platform. Users gain practical benefits like time-saving features for accounting, improved forecast accuracy, and smarter resource planning – all in one simple-to-use interface. Vendors continue to utilize AI to enhance their products and we expect that this will remain a core strategy for business in the months to come.

Finally, QAD announced a significant new release of QAD Digital Supply Chain Planning, designed to drive supply chain value and enable customers to manage fluctuating costs and macroeconomic factors. There is an ever-growing demand for advanced solutions in the supply chain, which is evident in the vendors who continue to provide even deeper functionality to customers.
