AI Announcements

AI continues to be the focal point of innovation for major ERP vendors, and Sage is no exception. Most of Sage’s releases leverage emerging AI solutions to deliver value to customers.

Sage began the conference by embedding automation directly within their suite of solutions. In fact, “Sage is bringing AI agents directly into the systems that businesses and accountants rely on, automating finance workflows in Sage Intacct, workforce management and payroll in Sage’s HCM solutions, and operational insights in Sage X3” (sage.com).

The Finance Intelligence Agent led the pack, with Sage announcing functionality will be rolled out in a phased approach for ongoing, continuous innovation. Sage customers will now be enabled with agents of action, increasing overall productivity in finance. Similar announcements were made in both Sage HCM and Sage X3, further pushing the real use cases for AI to automation interactions with the workforce, streamline processes, and make much more informed operational decisions. Each update will take place in a phased approach.

Through greater data connectivity and ongoing platform improvements, new AI agents will not only be able to retrieve and display valuable insights but also take action on those insights with little human intervention. The agents across finance, HR, and operations streamline execution with greater transparency on the usage of the data and the workflows being managed by agents.

More generally, Sage focused on empowering partners with the releases of Sage Agent Builder and AI Gateway, giving, “partners a more structured way to design, test, and deploy AI-powered experiences within Sage workflows, including Sage Copilot and Sage Marketplace” (sage.com). By empowering the Sage ecosystem with accelerated AI tools, Sage customers will benefit from a wide array of AI solutions at an accelerated time to value. In tandem with this release, Sage announced new, more flexible pricing and revenue models. These models will be usage-based pricing and revenue share, creating new opportunities for partners in the space to deliver.

Collaborations

Amazon has been a significant partner for Sage over the last couple of years, with Sage positioning itself further in line with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Sage has been investing heavily in its AI strategy with the intent of expanding availability to a wider audience. Sage is building its solutions on AWS infrastructure to be made available on AWS Marketplace, simplifying the implementation and integration process for companies looking to modernize. The collaboration will make it easier for customers to make the move to the cloud and grow using marketplace applications with pre-built integrations.

Acquisitions

At Sage Future, Sage also announced it has acquired Doyen AI, “a company founded in 2024 focused on using AI to make customer onboarding and implementation faster, simpler, and more accurate for finance teams” (sage.com). Many vendors are looking for ways to leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate the implementation process, offering a way for customers to achieve value with less disruption to operations. Firms like Doyen with a practice focused on leveraging AI for faster implementations can more immediately deliver services to existing customers without the lag associated with ground up development.

The acquisition will also streamline data validation and migration to enhance accuracy and implementation success. Improperly executed data extraction, cleansing, and validation often leads to ERP implementation failure, making advancements like this important for a more future-forward approach to data.

Conclusion

Sage is taking charge and looking to the future with a focus on artificial intelligence. With the advancements made at Future 2026, customers can continue to rely on the solutions they use every day but now have a path to adopt modern technology.
