Hi and welcome to episode 251 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
Epicor kicked off the week with big news, announcing that Vaibhav Vohra will become Chief Executive Officer effective October 1st, 2026. Vaibhav succeeds Steve Murphy, who will step down as CEO at the close of Epicor’s fiscal year, September 30th, 2026, and will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. The transition is the outcome of a planned succession process led by Epicor’s Board of Directors, beginning with Vaibhav’s appointment to President in October 2024, and reflects the company’s confidence in its strategy and trajectory. We expect to see continued growth from Epicor as they enter this new era of leadership.
In other news, Procore announced the general availability of Asset Register, a new tool within Procore Asset Management that helps contractors replace weeks of project handoff work with a continuous digital handover process. By building complete asset records throughout construction, contractors deliver high-quality handovers while owners receive trusted information to commission buildings and help begin operations sooner. These trusted asset records create the connected data foundation for Procore AI agents to understand project context and allow teams to make faster, more informed decisions. Procore continues to make significant investments in streamlining business processes and improving the customer experience.
Finally, Oracle announced the general availability of Oracle Exadata Database Service on Exacale Infrastructure on Oracle AI Database@AWS, bringing Exadata-class performance and pay-per-use economics to Oracle AI Database Oracle AI Database workloads of any scale. Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) also signed an expanded, long-term strategic collaboration agreement focused on accelerating customer migration to Oracle AI Database@AWS. For customers, this is a big change, enabling much greater access to customer data within AWS. Customers can now utilize Exadata on a consumption basis versus through infrastructure, making it more accessible to customers.
