Hi and welcome to episode 38 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Last week, NetSuite introduced SuiteLife Campus, a talent development initiative to help their partners expand their teams by offering accelerated training to new college graduates or career change candidates, with the goal being to create a stronger, more diverse ecosystem of NetSuite consultants.

Similar to vendors we have previously reported on, NetSuite is pouring significant resources into developing new talent. We see all the vendors we work with have a need for talent in this new business landscape, so it is important that they are investing in programs like this to meet the high demands for labor.

Blackbaud recently announced the financial results for its first quarter ended March 31, 2022. GAAP total revenue was up 17.3%, while Non-GAAP organic recurring revenue increased 6.6%.

The growth is most likely coming from upgrades, with Nonprofits wanting to make the move to the cloud. The demand for cloud options has been on an upward trend and will likely not slow anytime soon, so Blackbaud should be able to look forward to continued investments from their users to cloud-based systems.

Google Cloud and SAP SE announced an expansion of their relationship, unveiling new integrations between Google Workspace and SAP’s flagship cloud ERP, SAP S/4 HANA Cloud.
In our opinion, this has been the linchpin in SAP’s cloud strategy; not only preparing their own products for the cloud but working with public cloud partners like Google and others. This collaboration will drive a lot of SAP growth, ultimately benefitting the customer and improving the user-experience.

Salesforce has appointed former Chief Information Security Officer of the CIA, William MacMillan, as SVP, Security Product and Program Management, BISO, and Acquisition Integration. As we have been covering for multiple years, cybersecurity for enterprise software vendors is crucial to their own sustainability as service providers. In bringing on experienced individuals, such as MacMillan, and building great security teams, Salesforce can provide substantial value to users, who are utilizing their platform to store highly sensitive information.
