Hi and welcome to episode 18 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host Ashley Glasgow.

Cyber week just wrapped up and multiple eCommerce companies reported record breaking sales. Salesforce eCommerce merchants hit a high $62 billion in U.S. 2021 cyber week digital sales. After analyzing shopping data from a billion customers on the Salesforce Customer 360 Platform, Salesforce reported that global online sales hit an all-time high of $275 billion. This was a 4% year-over-year sales increase for cyber week. Shopify merchants more than doubled pre-pandemic sales after this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend sales, hitting $6.3 billion in sales. BigCommerce also achieved record high holiday sales with the largest spike in sales growth across the holiday season to date.

Next up, we want to catch you up on the latest from Microsoft Dynamics 365. Microsoft’s annual conference was held virtually at the beginning of November. The conference brought about various announcements and updates.

Microsoft announced Context IQ, a set of capabilities for both Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 that reduces the need to switch between various applications.

The Microsoft Customer Experience Platform was also announced at Ignite. This solution gives companies control of their customer data so that they can personalize and automate customer experience.

In the midst of the supply chain crisis, Microsoft announced Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Insights, which provided organizations with the ability to predict and proactively manage their supply chains.
