Hi and welcome to episode 220 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

At Dreamforce, Salesforce unveiled Agentforce 360 with Slack as the conversational interface where people and agents work together, connecting knowledge, actions, and data in real time. At the center of Salesforce’s new vision for technology is Slackbot, a deeply personal agent for work, built directly into Slack to help users get work done. It starts with the context a user already has and works with business tools and information within Slack to perform tasks. This announcement is a major step towards AI adoption, enabling customers to quickly benefit from a new tool without changing the way they interact with Slack.

In other news, Microsoft announced agentic AI solutions designed to bring intelligent automation to every part of the retail business. These new capabilities help retailers move faster, serve shoppers with great relevance, and operate with resilience and efficiency. Copilot Checkout will enable merchants to reach shoppers as they complete purchases discovered directly within Copilot without being redirected to external sites. This more seamless approach to customer satisfaction enables businesses to better retain and attract shoppers, while effectively capturing more data for sales teams.

Finally, Oracle unveiled Oracle Retail Supply Chain Collaboration. The new cloud solution enables retailers to more easily navigate an increasingly unpredictable and complex supplier landscape to enhance operational oversight, efficiency, vendor coordination, and compliance to help protect margins and customer satisfaction. Core benefits of the new solution include data sharing and collaboration, evaluation and pre-selection, streamlining merchandising, and more. Oracle continues to release solutions for improved efficiency and resource allocation. Customers will benefit from Oracle’s continued investment in process specific solutions.
