We found ERP Advisors Group when we decided it was time to update our system. I think every seven to 10 years it’s a good idea to take a look at new software and we were running up on 10 years with our current software. We had a lot of efficiency issues and we needed to make a change to help us grow.
We decided to hire ERP Advisors Group because they were professionals in the industry, and ERP selections and implementations are the only things they do. We didn't want to choose a firm that had two or three other side businesses. ERP Advisors Group only works with ERPs and that's it.
The first thing ERP Advisors Group did for us was a Needs Analysis, which helped us decide that we did need a new system. During the Needs Analysis they interviewed approximately 35 different employees, which is a good chunk of our company. EAG asked questions about every single process and where the pain points were. They helped uncover a lot of things, issues that we didn't even realize our employees were having.
Our goals for making a change were mostly just to become more efficient. We had a lot of manual processes as we had circumvented many of the controls that were set up with our old system. We wanted to consolidate, and we needed a system that would be there for us as we grew. The system that we had wasn't really going to help us get to that next level.
ERP Advisors Group helped us meet our goals for becoming more operationally efficient by first helping us decide that our existing system wasn't going to work, and then helping us find a new system. There are hundreds of systems out there that probably would have worked for our business and any of those companies would have sold those systems to us. But EAG was able to help us find that perfect fit.
The implementation of the software was a really extensive process, and we went through many demos with lots of different people. ERP Advisors Group worked with us through all of that and they helped us determine that there was one system that was going to be a fit for us. In the end, EAG made our choice pretty easy.

ERP Advisors Group was founded by Shawn Windle in 2010. He helped develop the technology practice at the largest accounting firm in Denver from 2004 - 2010 by offering Needs Analysis and Selection projects. But Shawn saw that clients were struggling during their implementations, even though they selected the right software. The firm’s partners were too averse to the risk of losing tax and audit business from a risky implementation. Thus, ERP Advisors Group was born with the purpose to provide Client-Side Implementation Services.
We take responsibility for the decisions we help our clients make during the Selection phase by staying on for their implementation, ensuring they go live with their new software.
