Hi and welcome to episode 98 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

This week, the ERP market saw even more significant financial results from major players in the space, Microsoft and ServiceNow.

First, Microsoft announced results for the quarter ended June 30, 2023, as compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Dynamics products and cloud services revenue increased 19% driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 26%. Additionally, server products and cloud services revenue increased 17% driven by Azure and other cloud services revenue growth of 26%. We expect that Microsoft’s highly profitable cloud business will drive innovation for Dynamics 365 in the future.

Then, ServiceNow reported its second-quarter 2023 financial results for the period ended June 30, 2023. Subscription revenues were approximately $2 billion, representing 25% year-over-year growth. Total revenues were approximately $2.15 billion, representing 23% year-over-year growth, ending Q2 with 45 customers with more than $20 million in ACV, representing a 55% year-over-year increase. This represents the demand in the market for IT services and the improvement of IT departments across the space. The market will continue to see these investments as technology advances and businesses race to keep up.

In related financial investments, Haveli Investments, L.P., a technology-focused private equity firm, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Certinia. Salesforce will continue as a shareholder in Certinia. We see this as a big move for Certinia, who we expect to benefit from this investment and advance into the next level of growth.

Finally, in advancement-related news, partnership announcements were made by Planful and Blackbaud to enhance their offerings.

Planful announced that Postal, a global offline engagement platform, has joined Planful’s partner network. The partnership empowers Postal customers with a seamless way to track what they spend on the Postal platform, measure Postal campaign ROI, and replace static, friction-filled spreadsheets with Planful to easily build, execute, and manage marketing plans and budgets across Postal and other marketing channels.

Blackbaud then refreshed its Blackbaud Partner Network, which will deliver shared value for partners, customers, and the company. New features of the refreshed program include automated onboarding to provide a streamlined & simplified way for partners to join, an online partner community that provides access to valuable resources, news, & announcements from Blackbaud & engagement with other partners, and a new learning management system (LMS) coming soon that is designed specifically for partners and includes a large library of on-demand training.

Partnerships like these from Planful and Blackbaud will extend the value of their solutions to customers and we expect to continue to see extensions like this across the vendors in the space.
