Cloud revenue further accelerates, up 31%, SAP S/4HANA cloud revenue significantly increased, up 78%, and SAP S/4HANA current cloud backlog is expanding even faster, up 86%. Oracle recently announced the availability of Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure X9M which enables customers to run on existing workloads faster, with greater scale, and at a lower cost than previous generations. Gartner predicts that three emerging environmental sustainability technologies will see early mainstream adoption by 2025. These technologies are cloud sustainability, carbon footprint measurement, and advanced grid management software. In line with this prediction, Workday publicized new solutions and expanded capabilities to help its global customers meet the demands of evolving environmental, social, governance regulations and corporate accountability. Also related, this week Acumatica was awarded a silver medal for its sustainability management and performance by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.     Last week, SAP announced their Q1 2022 results with continued cloud momentum. Cloud revenue further accelerates, up 31%, SAP S/4HANA cloud revenue significantly increased, up 78%, and SAP S/4HANA current cloud backlog is expanding even faster, up 86%. We believe with the SAP Rise program and related pricing that SAP legacy customers are taking advantage of the new cloud solution and will continue to for the foreseeable future.  Oracle recently announced the availability of Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure X9M which enables customers to run on existing workloads faster, with greater scale, and at a lower cost than previous generations. Oracle is one of the few enterprise software companies making major investments in their ERP platform. This long-term play will keep Oracle in a very competitive position for many years to come in the enterprise software space. Gartner predicts that three emerging environmental sustainability technologies will see early mainstream adoption by 2025. These technologies are cloud sustainability, carbon footprint measurement, and advanced grid management software, the first two of which we see from many ERP vendors. In line with this prediction, Workday publicized new solutions and expanded capabilities to help its global customers meet the demands of evolving environmental, social, governance regulations and corporate accountability. Specifically, these capabilities include increased access to data to help select sustainable suppliers, enabling users to assess carbon emissions beyond a company’s direct operation and utility use. Also related, this week Acumatica was awarded a silver medal for its sustainability management and performance by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. It is wonderful to see software vendors take responsibility for the global environment and that this responsibility is becoming a regular trend.
