Hi and welcome to episode 246 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

The begin the week, Acumatica announced the acquisition of Vertrax, a longtime Acumatica partner and trusted provider of cloud-native software solutions for the fuel and energy distribution industry. Vertrax will operate as a business unit of Acumatica under the Vertrax brand, expanding Acumatica’s industry-specific capabilities and strengthening its ability to help businesses streamline operations, adapt to change, and grow with purpose-built technology.
With this acquisition, Acumatica will expand its ability to deliver in the fuel and energy distribution space, offering unique IP to meet industry-specific needs.

Finally, Unit4 announced that new and existing Unit4 ERP customers can trial its AI capabilities built for their service-centric industries, commitment-free, if they register before December 2026. At the end of the initiative on August 31st, 2027, customers can either move to a subscription for Unit4’s AI capabilities or stop using the technology. As part of “AI for Your World,” customers will have access to its Advanced Virtual Agent (Ava) which responds to natural language requests through tools such as Microsoft Teams, bringing tasks to users and providing guidance and insights without the need to switch applications. The AI capabilities will work across the whole Unit4 ERPx platform, covering finance, HR, and people. This offers a unique opportunity for Unit4 customers to determine the fit of their AI offerings before committing to a long-term contract.
