Hi and welcome to episode 240 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

To start the week, Salesforce announced results for its first quarter fiscal 2027 ended April 30, 2026. First quarter subscription and support revenue was $10.6 billion, up 14% year-over-year, with first quarter revenue reaching $11.1 billion, up 13% year-over-year. Salesforce continues to be a powerhouse in the enterprise software space, offering cutting edge solutions and building its reach. This is evident in its fiscal first quarter financial results.

In other news, Workday and Google Cloud announced an expanded strategic partnership to bring AI agents for HR and finance closer to the people who need them, directly inside the applications they use every day. By combining the Workday Agent System of Record (ASOR) and agent roadmap with Google Cloud’s enterprise-ready agent platform and models, the partnership will create a single, trusted foundation where agents from Workday, Google Cloud, and third parties work together on real HR and finance workflows, with built-in governance and security.

Building on connectivity related news, Procore announced the launch of its connected Common Data Environment (CDE) – a purpose-built CDE from the ground up on a single platform to unify and verify project data from approved design to handover, capturing evidence in the flow of work to help keep the digital record aligned with site reality. This trusted data foundation allows agentic AI to act across the full construction lifecycle.

Both of these releases represent the demand in the market for greater solution connectivity as AI become more prominent. In order for decisions to be made effectively and accurately, the base layer must be sound and reduce data siloes that prevent growth.

Finally, AvidXchange announced the launch of embedded AP payment automation within Acumatica, powered by AvidXchange’s Accounts Payable as a Service solution. This launch follows the announcements of AvidXchange’s recent selection as Acumatica’s strategic partner to power payment automation for its mid-market customers, bringing deep expertise, a dedicated team of experts, and an extensive supplier network to deliver an embedded, streamlined payment experience. By bringing these capabilities directly within the ERP, customers can get the most from their solutions without having to shop around extensively for third-party applications.
