Hi and welcome to episode 22 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host Erica Windle.

SAP announced its preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2021. Q4 cloud revenue was up 28% and full year 2021 cloud revenue was up 16%, showing a strong execution for the entire cloud portfolio. We foresee SAP dominating in the cloud in 2022 as their focus is clearly on migrating legacy customers to S4 in the public and private cloud deployments.

In other news, Blackbaud acquired EVERFI, a SaaS solution that powers corporate ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. We see this as a strategic investment for Blackbaud as they look to expand their software product line and into content which will diversify their revenue sources.

In other news, Microsoft announced several new AI features for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing at their Ignite conference. We believe that Microsoft has an edge in the mid-market AI space given that most organizations already utilize a Microsoft tech and desktop stack.

Acumatica has announced its achievement of 10 different number 1 rankings in the G2 Winter 2022 reports. We are seeing Acumatica significantly grow in the ERP cloud space and expect them to continue to gain more market share throughout the next several years.

Finally, Nextworld, a newer ERP vendor run by the former executives and technologists of JD Edwards World and OneWorld, announced its acquisition of Cloud Inventory, formerly known as DSI, a pervasive WMS solution for midsized product-based companies. This is a major play for Nextworld given DSI’s diverse integrations with many prevalent ERP partners. We expect to hear much more from Nextworld in the new year.
