Hi and welcome to episode 213 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Charlie DeCurtis.
To start the week, Sage unveiled new functionality in Sage Intacct designed to help finance teams move from managing data to driving performance. These new features simplify operations, accelerate reporting, and empower finance teams to lead with accuracy, agility, and confidence. So, what’s new in Sage Intacct R4 2025? Customers will benefit from close automation with Sage AI now generally available in the US and UK, a new Finance Intelligence Agent within Sage’s growing network of AI Agents, new Equity Method for Advanced Ownership Consolidation to automate equity accounting, Sage Expense Management (formerly Fyle), and more. Each of these announcements will accelerate time to value for customers and enable them to get even more from their Sage solutions.
In release related news, Deltek unveiled its next-generation platform and brand evolution at Deltek ProjectCon 2025, the company’s annual customer conference. Together, these announcements mark a major step forward in Deltek’s vision to elevate how project-based businesses work – using AI and agentic orchestration to deliver speed, clarity, and control across the entire project lifecycle. New AI-powered capabilities include Deltek Proposals with AI-generated proposal creation directly in the product, Deltek PPM Enterprise Risk for greater risk management, and Deltek Agentic Financial Close with AI-powered reconciliation and validation. Deltek aims to improve the project management process, from start to finish, empowering customers with AI-powered solutions.
Related, ECI Software Solutions announced its NET1 Commerce Suite for North American Manufacturers. The modern self-service portal is designed to automate and simplify critical financial processes, improve cash flow predictability, and provide real-time visibility into financial activity. NET1 Commerce Suite also integrates with ECI’s manufacturing ERPs Deacom, JobBoss2, and M1, giving manufactures a secure, intuitive platform to manage invoices, payments, and account activity in real-time. Value is added by eliminating manual tasks associated with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. These are core business processes that have often been a source of restriction within businesses. By improving solutions through emerging technology, customers on the ECI platform can achieve new heights and reduce manual work.
Finally, QAD and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced an expanded strategic collaboration. Together, the companies are bringing Agentic AI to the mid-market manufacturing sector through QAD Champion AI, a breakthrough platform build on AWS cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities. QAD | Redzone and AWS will help manufacturers modernize faster, increase productivity, and reduce total costs of ownership, while ensuring the security and scalability required for industrial operations. Champion AI delivers intelligent automation, predictive insights, and real-time decision support directly into manufacturing workflows, ultimately accelerating time to value, lowering cost of ownership, and improving cyber resilience. AI is continuing to transform the software market, but it is the “down-to-earth” solutions that will truly benefit users and improve their day jobs, while improving business operations.
