The week began with Acumatica announcing the general availability of 2025 R2, which features enhanced usability, embedded AI-powered innovation, and expanded industry-specific functionality designed to improve efficiency and decision-making for mid-market businesses. 2025 R2 delivers a range of capabilities specifically designed to empower users to work smarter, adapt faster, and achieve greater operational efficiency with a modernized user experience, configurable AI automations with AI Studio, and industry-specific enhanced highlights in the Construction, Distribution, and Manufacturing Editions. In related update news, Aptean unveiled its Next Gen Routing and Scheduling solution, an AI-native platform, purpose-built to transform transportation and logistics operations. Designed for modern distribution teams, the solution delivers unified intelligence, real-time visibility, and advanced route optimization, while seamlessly managing drivers, vehicle availability, and job workflows. Key capabilities include unified intelligence across distribution, AI-driven rout planning and optimization, real-time collaboration and execution, integrated driver and resource management, strategic long-term planning, and executive insights and prescriptive analytics. Distributors will receive significant value from Aptean’s release and will be able to improve operations and deliver quicker time to value.

Following the AI trend, ECI announced the early access release of AI Assist for MobileTech, an AI-powered service call resolution solution built for the office technology industry. Embedded directly in the MobileTech mobile app, AI Assist enables service organizations to resolve equipment issues faster, more accurately, and at lower cost – addressing key challenges such as declining first-time fix rates, rising labor costs, and widening technician skills gaps. This release will empower field service workers with access to vital information and tools at their fingertips, taking manual steps out of operational processes.

Finally, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SAP unveiled plans to make SAP Sovereign Cloud capabilities available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, a new independent cloud for Europe backed by a planned 7.8 billion Euro investment from Amazon. The collaboration builds on the companies’ longstanding partnership and will focus on uniting their capabilities and SAP’s deep enterprise expertise with AWS infrastructure and operational expertise. To meet customers’ evolving digital sovereignty needs across Europe. Customers will benefit from these updates in Europe, allowing them to comply with local standards while protecting their data and benefitting from the transformative technology offered by SAP and AWS.
