Hi and welcome to episode 204 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

The week began with major news from Oracle, announcing its fiscal 2026 Q1 results. Total Remaining Obligations were up 359% year-over-year to $455 billion, while total quarterly revenues were up 12% to $14.9 billion. Additionally, Cloud revenues were up 28% to $7.2 billion. Within this announcement, Oracle also announced NetSuite Cloud ERP revenue was up 16% to $1 billion. Oracle continues experiencing growth year after year, delivering new product offerings to attract new customers and help existing ones grow.

In other news, SAP announced it has completed the acquisition of SmartRecruiters, a provider of enterprise-grade talent acquisition software. The SmartRecruiters platform, known for its intuitive user experience and seamless workflows, will now be integrated with the SAP SuccessFactors Human Capital Management (HCM) suite. This addition to the SAP SuccessFactors portfolio will make it easier for enterprises to manage the entire hiring lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, with enhanced AI-enabled recruiting capabilities that result in faster time-to-hire, improved candidate experiences, and deeper analytics for workforce planning. There is a major focus on attracting, retaining, and elevating talent, making solutions like this from SAP all the more important to improving these processes for businesses.

In more expansion-related news, Qlik announced the upcoming availability of the Qlik Cloud Canada region on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new region will help Canadian enterprises and public sector organizations ensure the sovereignty of sensitive data, improve performance for real-time decisioning, and operationalize AI with confidence. With Qlik’s cloud running in Canada, customers will be able to move from fragmented data siloes to governed insights and AI workflows without compromising residency requirements. This is a major step for Qlik’s global expansion as the needs of Canadian customers are further met.

Finally, Salesforce announced the Winter ’26 Release, rolling out hundreds of powerful AI, data, and automation advancements, generally available starting October 13th. From reimagined shopping experiences to enhanced data collaboration and industry-specific AI agents, Winter ’26 extends the Salesforce portfolio with trusted, enterprise AI innovations.
