Workday began the week with its financial results for the fiscal 2026 second quarter ended July 31, 2025. Total revenues were about $2.45 billion, an increase of 12.6% from the second quarter of fiscal 2025. Subscription revenues were about $2.17 billion, an increase of 14% from the same period last year. On the heels of Workday’s financial results, Workday also announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Paradox, a candidate experience agent that uses conversational AI to simplify every step of the job application journey – particularly for high-volume frontline industries, which employee nearly 3 billion workers globally. The acquisition will give Workday an AI-powered talent acquisition suite to help customers more efficiently find, hire, and onboard every type of worker – from the frontline to the back office – for every type of work, from full-time to contingent. Workday has been extremely active as the they gear up for a major product release in September. We expect to see even more movement in the coming weeks and will provide coverage on the explosive growth at Workday.

To round out the week with more HR-related news, Sage announced the launch of Workforce Intelligence, a new analytics engine for Sage People, designed to give HR leaders deeper visibility, anticipate challenges, and drive strategic impact through data. This release will address the gap in HR’s ability to align talent with long-term business goals by providing AI-powered insights, allowing HR to analyze, aggregate, and visualize data for deeper insights into their business needs. This is an exciting announcement for customers utilizing Sage People who will now be empowered with the transformative power of Sage AI.
