Hi and welcome to episode 138 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

In product enhancement-related news, UKG and Sage released new product features.

First, UKG announced during the 42nd annual Payroll Congress Convention and Expo that it is transforming payroll reporting with generative AI. UKG will make it easier to create payroll reporting in UKG Pro by allowing users to uncover insights and curate dashboards with explanations through a simple question-and-answer interaction. New features will include conversational search, summarization, classification, and content creation. In the age of AI, vendors must develop a clear AI strategy and offer their customers the tools to compete in an evolving technological landscape. UKG is helping its customers grow with this enhancement.

Then, Sage launched two new suites in Canada and the UK, Sage for Accountants & Sage for Small Business, to transform how SMBs and accounting practices operate and grow their business. Sage for Accountants will help businesses win and onboard more profitable clients more efficiently, boost productivity with efficient compliance services, and deliver a trusted advisory service. Additionally, Sage for Small Business will assist small businesses by streamlining repetitive tasks, gaining enhanced business insights, and remaining confident with compliance. Sage recognizes market needs and wants to deliver in the SMB space and to the accountants who utilize ERP software every day. With these suites, they can deliver greater value to more markets.

In related news, ServiceNow and Microsoft announced an expanded strategic alliance, combining their generative AI capabilities to enhance employee choice and flexibility. The new ServiceNow Now Assist and Microsoft Copilot integration brings the power of two generative AI assistants into one seamless enterprise, integrating the intelligence of Now Assist with ServiceNow’s AI-powered workflows with Microsoft Copilot to create a more holistic, connected experience, allowing employees to get the help they need from the most relevant generative AI assistant, regardless of which platform they are in. Alliances like this enable users to do more, without the limitations of disparate systems. Customers will now be able to get a more holistic view of their business and gain valuable insights through the help of two GenAI assistants.

ECI began its week by announcing a new interface for ECinteractivePLUS, its native e-commerce platform for DDMSPLUS, which is ECI’s complete Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software built specifically for business products dealers. Now available to users in North America, the new interface includes a modernized design that elevates the buyer experience while preserving the strongest business-to-business e-commerce features, such as CXML punchouts, budgets, recurring orders, and credit card vaulting. With so many businesses looking to deliver through effective e-commerce solutions, this enhancement will help ECI customers do more with their preexisting solutions thanks to ECI’s focus on improvement.

Finally, IFS has appointed Kevin Price as Global Head of Enterprise Asset Management. Before joining IFS, Price was Head of Pre-Sales at Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence, responsible for product and market strategy. EAM is a major offering for IFS, and it is reaffirming its commitment to these solutions by positioning its leadership team to drive growth.
